Harjoittelu kestää vuoden. Harjoittelun jälkeen rukoilemme ja arvioimme harjoitteluaikaa ja päätämme miten etenemme. Northwindin pastoriroolissa seuraava askel on pastorikokelaisuus. Kokelaisuus-ohjelmaan kuuluu tiistai-aamuisin pidettävät apostoliset tapaamiset ja staff-palaverit sekä mahdollisuuksia opettaa seurakuntaa ja saada palautetta, joka auttaa kasvamaan kutsumuksessa.

Harjoittelu on tarkoitettu ihmisille, jotka tuntevat kutsumusta kokopäiväiseen palvelutyöhön seurakunnassa. Tällaisia ​​rooleja ovat:

  • Pastori (toimeenpaneva rooli)

  • Seurakunnan perustaja

  • Pastori / sielunhoitaja

  • Tiimin johtaja (lapset/nuoret/musiikki/media/lähetystyö/diakoni)

The internship lasts for 1 year. After the internship, we pray and evaluate the time of the internship and discern the next steps. For pastoral role in Northwind the next step is our pastor trainee program. Pastor trainee program includes tuesday morning apostolic meetings and staff meetings and opportunities to teach the congregation and to receive feedback to help them grow in their calling. 

The internship is for people who feel called to full time ministry in the church. Such roles are the role of a 

  • Pastor (executive role)

  • Church planter

  • Pastor / Counceller 

  • Ministry leader (kids/ youth/ music/ media/ missions/ deacon)

Mitä odotuksia meillä on harjoittelijoille? What will be expected of the interns?

ODotukset

Harjoittelijat ovat osa Northwindin henkilökuntaa, joten heidän on osallistuttava kaikkiin henkilökunnan kokoontumisiin: Prayer breakfast, culture lab ja joihinkin muihin palavereihin (riippuen internin vastuualueista)

Harjoittelu on mahdollista tehdä kokoaikaisena tai osa-aikaisena harjoitteluna riippuen henkilön elämäntilanteesta ja siitä, mihin kokee kehoitusta Jumalalta. Kokoaikaisten harjoittelijoiden työviikko on 38–40 tuntia. Vapaapäivät ovat maanantai ja lauantai (kun lauantai ei ole mahdollinen, vapaapäivä on jonain toisena päivänä samalla viikolla). Harjoittelijoilla on myös iltavuoroja, koska osa seurakunnan toiminnoista on iltapäivällä ja illalla. Valitsemme harjoittelijan vastuut heidän profiilinsa mukaan. Osa-aikaisten harjoittelijoiden odotetaan käyttävän harjoitteluunsa 18–20 tuntia viikossa. Viikoittaiset aktiviteetit sunnuntain ja tiistain lisäksi annetaan harjoittelijoille heidän kutsunsa mukaan.

Heillä on vastuutehtäviä seurakunnan eri toiminnoissa, kuten NYLA, Roots, Northwindin joulu, Father's heart -viikonloppu, Northwindin konferenssi ja New Wave konfirmaatioleiri.

Kyky ja mahdollisuus pitää taloudellisesti heidän elämänsä tasapainossa.

6-8 kirjan opiskelua harjoitteluohjelman aikana.

Olla läsnä seurakunnan elämässä.

Englannin kielen perustaidot ja halukkuus oppia lisää. Tämä koskee suomen kielen kohdalla myös heitä ketkä eivät vielä puhu suomea.

Expectations

Interns will be part of the Northwind Staff, therefore they will need to attend all the staff gatherings: Prayer Breakfast, Culture Lab and some meetings.

They will have responsibility roles in different church activities such: NYLA, Roots, Northwind Christmas, Father´s heart weekend, Northwind Conference, New Wave Confirmation Camp.

The internship can be full time or part time depending on the applicants life situation and what God is speaking to them. Full time interns will have a work week of 38-40 hours. The freedays will be Monday and Saturday (when saturday is not possible, the freeday will be another day that week). Interns will have some night shifts too since some church activities are in the afternoon and in the night. We will choose the responsibilities for the intern depending on their profile. Part time interns are expected to give to their internship 18 to 20 hours per week. The weekly activities besides sundays and tuesdays will be given to the interns depending on their profile. 

Be able to financially support their lives.

Attend the bible study week in the spring 16th to 19th of february.

Be present in the life of the church.

Study of 6-8 books during the internship program

Basic english skills and willingness to learn more. This applies also to the english speakers who don’t yet speak finnish.

Harjoittelun päivämäärät

  • Hakuaika on 29. kesäkuuta - 7. elokuuta.

  • Harjoitteluhaastattelu (1 tunti) 12. ja 13. elokuuta klo 9.45-13.00.

  • Staff palaveri tiistaisin klo 9.45-12.45 kaksi kertaa kuukaudessa. Ensimmäinen tiistai on 18. elokuuta, jolloin suunnittelemme visiosunnuntaita henkilökunnan kanssa.

  • Harjoittelu päättyy 9. elokuuta 2027. Harjoittelijoilla on lomaa 21. kesäkuuta - 27. kesäkuuta ja kaksi viikkoa 12. heinäkuuta - 8. elokuuta aikana. Pastorien lomien aikana (12. heinäkuuta - 8. elokuuta) harjoittelijat huolehtivat yhdessä seurakuntamme kesätoiminnasta ja jumalanpalveluksista - puolet harjoittelijoista viettää lomaa ensimmäiset kaksi viikkoa ja toinen puoli jälkimmäiset kaksi viikkoa.

Dates of the internship

  • The application period is 29 of June to 7th of August.

  • Internship interview (1hour) on the 12th and 13th of August, at 9:45am to 1pm.

  • Staff meeting on tuesdays at 9:45am to 12:45pm, twice a month. First tuesday being the 18th of August when we will plan our vision sunday with the staff.

  • Internship will end in the 9th of August 2027. The interns will have holidays the 21th of June to 27th of June and 2 weeks during a period of 12th of July to 8th of August. During the pastors holidays (12th of July to 8th of August) the interns will collectively take care of the summer activities and services of our church - half of the interns take first 2 weeks and the other half the latter 2 weeks.
